Günther Bauer passes the management of the company onto his son Willehad Bauer. Expansion continues.

Launch of the WALDLÄUFER brand – inspired by the Gabriel Ferry story of the same name. The image of a North American trapper adorns every WALDLÄUFER shoe from this point onwards.
